Having qualified from the university of Northumbria at Newcastle in 2003, I commenced my NHS career at The Royal Bolton Hospital. Here I completed my junior and senior 2 rotations, as they were known then, gaining a wide range of clinical skills and knowledge across all specialist areas. I went on to secure a static role within the field of musculoskeletal injuries, doing what I do now!

During my time at Bolton, I got married and had two of our three children. It was time to relocate back to East Lancashire, where I stared a brief employment at Burnley General Hospital, before baby number 3 arrived! The world of private physiotherapy was just around the corner!

Prior to working in Barnoldswick, a place I can only describe as a ‘hidden gem’, I worked for 5 years at Whalley Physiotherapy Clinic. This was my first experience of life outside the NHS. I loved my time here, working alongside Jane Connolly and the wider team; it reignited my passion for the profession! And then….the dreaded COVID-19!

As a result, I was handed the reigns of the well established practice at Westcraven Sports Centre in the midst of ‘lockdown’ 2020, from the locally famous Ginny Wilson!

PLT Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic was established by myself, alongside the support of Pendle Leisure Trust. It is a growing clinic which currently consists of two HCPC registered Physiotherapists and two qualified Sports Massage therapists.

Outside of work we enjoy all things sport, camping, family, food and holidays!!!! The next adventure is just around the next corner…..
